How to deposit a will

An Israeli will should be deposited with the Registrar of Inheritances. While this is not compulsory, I believe it is highly advisable. The Registrar will keep the will, providing extra protection for you and your inheritors.

Here is how to deposit the will?

* Scan the signed will with a good scanner (I can do that for you).

* Make sure you have an account at www.gov.il and if not open one.

* Pay the fee of NIS 123 (correct for 2025) at  https://ecom.gov.il search for "הפקדה של צוואה" (will deposit) and save the receipt on your computer.

* Go to the website of the Registrar of Inheritances https://www.gov.il/he/service/will_deposit and select "הפקדה מרחוק" (remote deposit) and upload the scanned will by following the instructions on the website.

* After you have uploaded the will, please send me the confirmation from the website, and I will physically submit the original signed will at the office of the Registrar of Inheritances.

לא חובה להפקיד צוואה ישראלית אצל רשם הירושות אבל אני חושב שזה מומלץ. הרשם ישמור את הצוואה, ויספק הגנה נוספת לך וליורשים שלך.

איך מפקידים את הצוואה?

• סרוק את הצוואה החתומה עם סורק טוב (אני יכול לעשות את זה בשבילך);

• וודאו שיש לכם חשבון אישי ב-www.gov.il  ואם לא פתחו חשבון;

• שלמו אגרה בסך 123 ₪ (נכון לשנת 2025) בכתובת https://ecom.gov.il (חפשו "הפקדה של צוואה") ושמרו את הקבלה במחשב;

• היכנסו לאתר של רשם הירושה https://www.gov.il/he/service/will_deposit ובחרו "הפקדה מרחוק" והעלו את הצוואה הסרוקה לפי ההוראות באתר;

• שלחו לי את האישור מהאתר ואני מגיש פיזית את הצוואה החתומה המקורית במשרד רשם הירושות.
